Anker Wireless Charger Not Working (10 Ways to Fix)

If your Anker wireless charger is not working, don’t be annoyed; this is a really common problem in Anker wireless charges. Last month my Anker wireless charger was not working.

I was worried, then I researched to fix my charger. I have found 10 reasons why the Anker wireless charger is not working and how to fix it.

How to fix Anker wireless charger not working?

Anker Wireless Charger Not Working

There may be the following possible reasons for your Anker wireless charger not working.

Quick fixes

  • Don’t use an Apple 5V charger or computer’s USB port to power your Anker wireless charger because these are not compatible with Anker wireless charger.
  • Always place your device in the center of the Anker wireless charger; your device will not charge because of improper placement.
  •  Don’t use USB-C wall chargers.

Not enough power

It may be possible that the charger is getting power from the power source, but it may not be enough to pass through the device. If you are using a mobile case, it should not be thicker than 5mm. Because a thick mobile case will not let the power pass through from the wireless charger to the device.

Also, ensure that your mobile phone does not have any magnetic attachments, grips, stands, keys, or credit cards because these things can interfere with the charging.

But if you are not using a mobile case, then check for dirt on your Anker charger and your mobile back side. Because wireless charging is not as strong as wired charging so a little bit of dirt can stop the flow of power.

Therefore you should not use a mobile case and also clean your wireless charger and the back of your mobile before charging.

Apps draining battery

Maybe your Anker wireless charger is working properly, but charging is not showing because your mobile has an app/software to update, which may consume all the wireless charger’s input power from the mobile.

As we discussed above, wired charging is stronger than wireless charging; therefore, we could not observe any power consumption during apps/software updating.

But apps/software updates consume CPU power more than wireless charging input; therefore, your mobile battery level is the same.

Loose charging ports

If your Anker wireless charger is still not working, check the USB port of the adopter and the port of your wireless charger.

There is a chance that your ports are loose; that’s why your Anker wireless charger is not working.

To fix the ports, go to the technician; he can easily replace the ports.

The device is not compatible

Anker wireless charger does not support old devices. So first, check the compatibility of your device with Anker wireless charger.

Here is the list of compatible devices for the Anker wireless charger.

Faulty charging cable and adapter

Maybe your Anker wireless charger is not working because you are not using the original charging cable or something wrong with the adapter.

So you should always use the original charging cable and adapter provided with your Anker wireless charger. Also, check to charge the cable with any other device to check whether it’s working or not.

If it is not working with another device, then your charging cable is faulty, and you need to replace it. In the same way, check the wall adopter; if it is faulty, then replace it.

Restart the device

It is possible that your Anker wireless charger is working properly, but something is wrong with your device.

Therefore you can try to fix the problem by restarting the device; restarting will remove minor glitches and bugs from your device and start working perfectly.

Follow the below steps to restart your iPhone.

  • Hold down the top button until the power slider appears.
  • Drag the slider and wait for 30 seconds for your device to turn off
  • To turn your device back on, hold the top button until your device turns on.

Here are basic steps to restart your android device

  • Press and hold the mobile power button until the power menu appears
  • Tap to Restart or Power off on the menu
  • If you tap power off on the menu, then again press the power button to turn your device on

Hard reset your device

If the reset doesn’t work, then try to hard reset your device. I researched, and many people say that hard reset works for them. Here are some steps to hard reset your iPhone

  • Quickly press and release the volume up button
  • Then press and release the volume down button
  • Then press and hold the side button
  • Keep holding the side button until the Apple logo appears

Overheated Charger

If your Anker wireless charger was plugged in for hours, it might be overheated; that’s why it is not working.

When the Anker wireless charger is overheated, it stops working to protect its components from any type of damage.

Therefore you should un-plug it for half an hour and use it when its temperature is normal.

Ask for a replacement

If all methods did not work for you, then ask for a replacement. Typically you can return Anker wireless charger within 30 days after purchase.
