Rotate With App

If you want to use the rotation feature on your stick up cam, ensure that you have a tilt mount for your Ring outdoor cam.

With this mount package, you can plug the camera outdoors in any kind of weather and monitor your house better with 360° rotation.

And this mounting bracket requires a connection with a standard indoor/outdoor standard wall plug. Either, you can buy a battery pack instead of the adapter.

Here are steps to connect the camera to the tilt mount:

  1. Bring your Ring stick up cam, remove the mount and then the battery.
  2. Then insert the pan cam-tilt mount and battery into the stick-up cam battery compartment.
  3. Plug the power adapter into the tilt mount and the other end into the power outlet.
  4. Next, open the Ring app on your phone; it will ask you to “switch wired mode” you can tap on it.
  5. Due to changing the camera mode, you’ve to set up the camera again.
  6. Tap Next and follow the on-screen prompts until set up finishes.
  7. It will ask you to test the rotation your self whether it is working.
  8. Now you have the option to tilt your camera in 360 orientations.

However, to make this setup easy, I have a video below that you should watch to set up your Ring stick-up cam.

Follow the steps to rotate the camera:

  1. Open the Ring app and then select the live view of the camera you’ve installed.

  3. Now you can press the arrow buttons from the screen to rotate the camera side by side, up and down, just with a few clicks.

Here are steps to rotate the stickup cam manually:

Yes, Ring cameras can be rotated, but the Ring stick up cam does not have this option. You can rotate your Ring camera by using the app.

Open the Ring app and go to the camera live view that you want to rotate. Then select rotate, and rotate up, down, right or left using the controls.
