How to Fix Onn Wireless Charger Not Working?

These are the solutions you should follow:

Quick Fixes

You should restart your phone
Remove the mobile case and remove accessories
Plug the charging pad with the power source properly
Ensure by using another phone if the charging pad is working
Factory reset, and update software
Use another charger to check your phone is working

Restart Mobile Phone

Before doing any deep solution you should restart your phone. Because sometimes it can have software problems. That stops the wireless charging process with your Onn charging pad.

Restarting the device is also best when your device is working slowly and has cached.

You can restart your phone by following the steps below:

Restart Android

Press and hold the power button
Let it go while the power menu appears
Tap on Restart to turn it off and then back on

Now your phone is successfully restarted you should try to charge it through the Onn wireless charger.

Restart iPhone

Press and hold the power button
Release the button while the power off slider appears
Drage it left to right
Then press the power button to turn it back on

Remove Mobile Case

If you are using a phone case you should remove it while charging. Using it for safety purposes is not bad but if you want to charge your phone wirelessly you need to remove it.

Because it can interfere with the wireless charging and is thicker it will stop the electricity from passing through.

If you are buying a new phone case you should keep in mind; that you should not buy a maximum 3mm thick case.

Also, you should ensure you don’t have to put accessories in the phone case e.g., debit card, pins, and metallic stuff.

These accessories are causing to stop of wireless charging. Because they make a thick layer between the charging pad and phone.

Plug Correctly and Check Power Source

If you are charging your phone with a wireless charger it does not mean that it is possible without power. You have to need to connect the charging pad with a power source.

You should ensure you have plug Onn charging pad with a power source correctly. If you think it is not connected to a power source you should unplug it and then plug it into a power source.

And also you should check your power source may it can have any fault. Because sometimes the power source is not working or providing power that is not enough for the charging pad.

You can change the power source and then check your wireless charging pad. If it is not working with other new power sources you should follow the steps below.

Check Charging Pad

You should check your charging pad if you have access to another phone. Plug the charging pad with the power source and then put your phone in the center of the pad.

If a new phone is working with the Onn charging pad it means your phone was faulty. You should contact the official brand to get it fixed.

But if your new mobile is not charging with the wireless charging pad it means the charging pad is not working. You should seek a professional or contact the Onn customer support.

Use another Charger

In the same way, as we tested our Onn wireless charging pad you should check your phone. You can check it by a plug with another wireless or wired charger.

If your phone is charging it means the Onn wireless charger has a fault. If you want to fix it you should contact a professional. And also you can contact Onn customer support to get it replaced or for its warranty.

If your phone is still not charging with the other chargers you should think to contact a professional mechanic or contact the official support team.

Cool Down your Phone

Your phone can be overheated while plugged into the charger. And sometimes your device can be overheated due to direct contact with the sunlight.

And wireless charging is different from wired charging. When your phone goes overheated the wireless charge stops providing current. And that is why your Onn wireless charger is not working.

You should ensure your device is not overheated. If its temperature is above normal you should remove it from the charging pad. Let it cool down and try again when it becomes cool.

Factory Reset

You should perform a factory reset if the Onn wireless charger is still not working. It is because your phone can have software glitches that interfere with wireless charging.

And also factory reset can be helpful when your phone stop working, frozen and unresponsive.

Note: you should back up your data because a factory reset will remove it.

Open settings
Scroll down and tap on Additional settings
Scroll all the way down and tap on Bacup and Reset
Then tap on Erase all data (Factory Reset)

Factory Reset iPhone

Use iCloud or your computer to backup
Connect your phone with a WiFi
Open Settings
Tap on General> Reset
There will be several options you should select Erase all content & Settings
Then tap Erase all Content & Settings from the confirmation message

Update Phone Software

You have to check your phone software. If it is outdated then the wireless charging can be stopped due the software glitches.

You should ensure your phone is up to date. The reason behind updating your phone is that you use the latest features, improve security, fix connectivity issues and remove minor glitches from your device.

You should follow the steps below to update your phone:

Update Android

Go to the Settings
Tap on Software update
Then tap on Download and Install
You can tap on scheduled or Install now

This method is for Samsung and it can vary for your phone.

Update iPhone

Open settings
Tap General
Then tap software update
You might have an automatic update option turn it on
If it does not work you should tap on Download and Install to install it manually

Contact Support

If your Onn wireless charger is still unresponsive. At all, you have tried all the above ways to fix it. You should go to their official site and then contact the customer support team.

You should ask them about the warranty or replacement and also you can ask them for solutions to fix your Onn wireless charger.
